I have been working in the Emergency Department for Metroplex Health Systems since 1989. I have worked for several different medical directors, and at least 3 ER staffing companies. During the last part of 2006, I heard we were losing our contract with the current ER group and signing on with another company out of Austin. My initial thought was "Well, here we go again..."
They say that first impressions are lasting impressions. In January, I had the pleasure of meeting several folks from our new ER contract group, Emergency Service Partners, which is based in Austin, Texas. I met Dr. Robert Patton, Jerry Anderson, RN, and Lisa Morgan, Physician Recruiter when they came to visit our facility at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas. These were my first impressions: friendly, sincere, dedicated, confident, and genuine
Well, I have been with my new group for only a few months, and all those first impressions were correct. This is a very professional, dedicated, and friendly group of folks. I have met almost everyone who works at the Austin office, and I am always greeted with warmth, kindness, and a sense of comraderie. I sincerely believe that they have my best interests and the best interests of my hospital as one of their top priorities. I feel so blessed to be a part of this group, and sincerely hope this is a long-lasting relationship.Ron Johnson, DO, Interim Medical Director, Rollins Brook Community Health Center
