About Lampasas, TX

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Texas Hill Country lies quaint and beautiful Lampasas. Known as the "Saratoga of the South" in the late 1800s, Lampasas area springs, creeks, and rivers today offer the same quiet relaxation and abundant recreation. Lampasas is located about one hour northwest of Austin, and just 30 miles west of Killeen.

The Lampasas climate is conducive to year-round activities. Summer is ushered in with evening concerts under the stars. Fall begins the hunting season with its varied and abundant wildlife. Winter brings a festival of lights and holiday cheer. Spring bursts forth with vivid colors, as the hills are adorned with wildflowers. Golfing and watersports are favorites all year round. Sulphur Springs runs through the town, with additional springs through the city.
