In addition to 24-hour emergency services, Grimes St. Joseph Health Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital offering 24-hour laboratory, imaging, ultrasound, cardiovascular studies, echocardiograms, 24-hour CAT scans, MRI, bone density, cardiopulmonary, minor surgical procedures, pulmonary rehabilitation, sleep studies, nutritional counseling, physical and occupational therapy, a behavioral health unit, and general acute and skilled care. The facility received the 2007 Texas Award for Performance Excellence.
The Emergency Department has recently been renovated to include a larger waiting area, 24-hour registration, a central nurses’ station, two triage rooms, and 5 patient rooms.
